Role Description
Wurth IT USA is seeking an experienced and talented SQL Server DBA to join our dynamic team. As a Database Administrator at Würth IT USA - you will design, administer, and maintain database systems and their backups.
This is a full-time hybrid role at Wurth IT USA (3 days onsite, in our Chicago area office).
Responsibilities
- Work with a global but tight-knit team of DBA’s supporting world-class systems
- Be an engaged part of our database team and are responsible for various database systems around SQL Server Database
- Design, administer, migrate and maintain database systems and their backups.
- Install and operate highly available database systems.
- Carry out performance analyses and database tuning.
- Prepare error analyses and documentation.
- Support specialist departments and customers in the use of database systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Have in-depth knowledge of the administration of relational databases, SQL Server databases
- Have good knowledge of Windows Server
- You are passionate about MS SQL Server
- Knowledge and strong experience with SQL high-availability technologies
- Knowledge and experience with Azure SQL a big plus
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL a plus
- Monitoring of existing instances and proactively identifying bottlenecks.
- 3 years of experience as an SQL Server DBA
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Location
Wurth IT USA is located in the Lake Forest/Vernon Hills area of the Northern Chicago suburbs. This position requires onsite work 3 days per week. Please note relocation assistance is not provided.
