Role overview
The Project Accountant is the primary support for construction projects from start up through final closeout. Serves as the liaison between the job site and the finance department, ensuring all accounting standard operating procedures are followed at the job site. Performs activities related to contracts, bonds, insurance, payables, liens, billings and cost budget reports for the job site management team.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable invoices for multiple projects
- Process accounts receivables for multiple projects
- Process monthly billings submitted by project managers
- Ensure all applicable lien waivers are submitted prior to scheduling payments
- Post month end journal entries to GL
- Work with Project Manager, Estimating, Assistant PM to review project close out analysis
- Research, process and track sales tax for different states
- Compile information and documents for check signing
- Special projects as instructed by manager
- 1099 review, audit and preparation
- Other ad hoc items

This is a full-time position exempt position. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

This position reports to the Accounting Manager
Travel
No overnight travel is anticipated for this position. Some occasional local day travel may be necessary.

Compensation Range : $65K - $75K
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
