What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Services District Manager position at WV Department of Human Services?
General Description: Under general supervision, the Social Services District Manager will perform complex administrative and professional work by planning, implementing, directing, and reviewing programs, activities and operations within the Berkeley and Jefferson county's child welfare units of CPS and Youth Services. Responsibilities include planning, policy development, direction, coordination, and administration of the operation of multiple units within CPS and Youth Services. Acts as a liaison within Bureau for Social Services with the state and federal partners to facilitate problem resolution of complex matters. Collaborate with community partners, outside agencies, and service providers to assist in services provided to clients. Position located in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties. Employee must be willing to travel to both offices within both counties. Employee is subject to being on-call during non-business hours and must be available with access to a telephone.
Applicants must possess a valid WV driver’s license, and reliable transportation. Applicants also must have strong communication skills, both oral and written, and maintain detailed records and extensive documentation. Frequent travel may be required. Successful completion of a background check is required for employment.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Six (6) years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in a human services related area (such as case work, social work, counseling, child services, and or adult services).

Pay: $63,675.00 - $106,125.00 per year
