Your day as a Safety & Environmental Specialist
As a Safety & Environmental Specialist at WWC Engineering, your daily responsibilities will include conducting safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations. You will develop and implement safety training programs for employees, fostering a culture of awareness and accountability. Collaborating with project managers, you'll provide guidance on environmental impact assessments and sustainability practices.
You'll also engage in regular meetings to assess safety performance metrics and recommend improvements. Documenting incidents and maintaining thorough records will be essential to uphold our commitment to excellence and integrity. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety
- Environmental science or a related field preferred but not required
- 5 years' experience in environmental safety and health (ESH) compliance or related experience
- Current certification or interest in pursuing certification as a certified safety professional (CSP) or certified industrial hygienist (CIH) preferred
