What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Toddler Program Assistant position at Wyandotte Nation?
Wyandotte Nation Government is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Early Childhood Toddler Program Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the Lead Teacher in planning, implementing, and maintaining a compassionate and supportive educational program for toddlers. In this role, the assistant will facilitate the operations of the program during the Lead Teacher’s absence, ensuring all activities are executed in line with the comprehensive goals of the Turtle Tots toddler program. Applicants should have at least a high school diploma, with preference given to those with an AA degree in Early Childhood Education, a Child Development Associate Credential, or equivalent experience. A willingness to attend training and meet licensing regulations is required. A minimum of two years working in early childhood education is preferred. The employee may frequently be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and balance, cope with high level of stress, perform simple grasping, and lift up to 75 pounds. The position also requires completion of necessary training and licensing requirements, including CPR, First Aid, and child abuse awareness, as well as a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a physical, drug screening, and background checks.
