Job Overview:
Wychmere Beach Club is seeking to hire a Manager for our seasonal Children's Camp. The Camp Manager is responsible for organizing and overseeing the daily operation of Wychmere’s Children’s Camp. The Camp Manager is expected to have direct oversight of all camp counselors and campers.
Schedule: June thru Mid-August
· 6-7 Hour Days, 5 Days a week
· Day Shift Availability
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
· Minimum of 2 years experience working with children in a recreation environment preferred
· Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
· Highly responsible, reliable and proven record of organization
· Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time throughout shift
· Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Core Duties:
This is intended to represent the key duties for this position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· In preparation for summer: plan and schedule events, crafts, and themed weeks for campers to participate in
· Plan, lead, and implement camp programs for children
· Provide high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants
· Supervise campers and ensure their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being
· Assists in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance
· Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program
· Work closely with the Director of Beach & Pools to meet business needs and adjust schedules as such
· Other duties as assigned by Director of Beach & Pools.
