What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Assistant position at Wychmere Beach Club?
Wychmere Beach Club is seeking to hire a seasonal Purchasing Assistant. The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for assisting in the receiving, unloading, stocking, and delivery of goods across our resort property. A successful Purchasing Assistant will be reliable, possess a strong work ethic, learn quickly, and be able to follow instructions from the Purchasing Manager.
Schedule: This position runs from mid-April through mid-October; 5 days per week, subject to change to meet business needs. We are also looking to add a second Purchasing Assistant for the time frame of late May through September.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Purchasing, hotel, grocery, or restaurant experience is preferred
- Must be able to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time up to and including an entire shift
- Must be able to work in outdoor environments
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Familiarity with food and beverage products and general inventory storage requirements preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $23.00 per hour
