Wylie's Communication Networks, Inc. has an immediate opening for a qualified low voltage technician who is proficient in the installation, servicing, troubleshooting & repair of a wide variety of communication equipment & systems including low voltage cabling (CAT5e, 6, 6a), fiber optics, computer networks (wired & wireless), POTs, PBX and SIP phone systems, microwave radios, CCTV/surveillance, access control, paging/intercoms/background music, A/V and more.

Schedule will be part time to full time, w/ possible occasional overtime, dependent on client emergencies and project work load.

*$22-$35/hr, TBD dependent on skill level & experience
*Schedule: Monday to Friday w/ occasional overtime

-Requirements To Apply-

*Current & valid driver's license w/ clean driving record & driving history printout from DMV
*High School Diploma or equivalent
*Be able to provide legal documents validating ability to work in the US
*Pre-employment background check & drug screen
*Reliable transportation to commute to shop in Ceres, CA
*Clean & neat appearance, maintain professional demeanor at all times, especially around clients
*Commit to working safely

Your main duties will include the installation, testing, turn-up, & troubleshooting of the above communication systems, using company established quality standards & client specifications at job sites throughout the central valley & select bay area cities. As such, you must be able to demonstrate strong technical & communication skills, have the ability to follow technical directions, be a team player w/ a good attitude, work in all types of environments including drop ceilings, attics, crawl spaces & outdoors, work at heights above ground on ladders & lifts, & can tell differences in wire colors.

-Technician responsibilities include-

*Taking direction from designated supervisor (foreman) & owner
*Keeping vehicle, job sites, & designated shop area clean
*Checking vehicle operational status (check oil/fluid levels, tires, etc) & reporting any issues to management
*Operating vehicle in a safe & proper manner
*Keeping assigned tools organized & maintained
*Using ladders safely & properly
*Operating hand tools & power tools safely
*Checking out/in specialty tools & equipment
*Keeping track of client materials & equipment
*Ensuring you have the proper materials for assigned jobs, & returning unused materials to warehouse
*Keeping consumable materials stocked
*Cleanup of shop

-Our preferred candidate-

*3yrs experience
*Experienced & proficient in the use of computers (hardware & software), IP networking, voice networks
*Detail-oriented
*Good verbal & written communication skills
*Good documentation abilities
*Ability to work in a team environment & solo
*PLUS: Ability to install conduit, advanced knowledge of IP networking/OSI model, experience w/ fiber

We are quality driven & strive for excellent customer service. We have a modern functional shop that allows us to support & work on the equipment we service. We cover Sacramento to Fresno & select locations in the Bay Area.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
