Recreation Center (Clubhouse) Associate

Job Summary: Recreation Center Associate

A recreation center associate will be responsible for promoting and maintaining hospitality and customer service at Bear Paw Activity Center. Must welcome and serve the unit owners and guests in a courteous, efficient and friendly manner at all times. Recreation center associates are responsible for food and beverage service to our guests, therefore, associates must obtain or currently be certified as a food handler in Coconino County. You will also be working near a pool with multiple guests and are required to be certified in CPR and AED training. We are willing to certify you in both food handlers certification and CPR and AED training. MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE SUMMER!

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Food and Beverage preparation
• Preparation of closing shift sales reconciliation
• Maintain cleanliness of amenities provided by Bear Paw Activity Center
• Facilitate positive employee image and effective guest relations by demonstrating attention to detail, congeniality, integrity, and sound judgment.
• Facilitate scheduled activities that emphasize guest interaction.
• Participate in On-Site Activities
• Report all maintenance and replacement needs as required.
• Attend to guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
• Attend all department meetings and training.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Wyndham Flagstaff Resort policy.
• Adhere to personal appearance and grooming policy, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
• Comply with Safety, Security and Health regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
• Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
• Report to Recreation Supervisor

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

a) Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

b) Knowledge and skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer information systems/cash register or POS system
• Ability to obtain or proof of current Food Handler’s Certification
• Ability to obtain or proof of current CPR/First Aid Certification
• Ability to lift/carry up to 25lbs
• Excellent communication skills- written and verbal
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail
• Positive and outgoing personality
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Ability to handle cash and credit transactions

c) Job experience

• 6 months experience in customer service
• Cashier experience or ability
• Preferred experience in hospitality, recreation, and/or administration
