We are seeking a reliable and organized Mailroom and Purchasing Clerk to join our team at a large, gated adult condominium community in Coconut Creek. In this role, you will be responsible for handling mail and office supplies, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the mailroom and purchasing processes.
Responsibilities
- Handle all incoming and outgoing inter-office Mail.
- Collect and transport maintenance payments from the post office, clubhouse and administration mailbox.
- Deposit bank transactions.
- Distribute association postings, including assessments, memos and notices
- Manage certified mail, registered mail, and other important packages requiring special handling.
- Process all U.S and international mail and operate mail machines including the postage meter.
- Maintain sufficient office supplies for daily operations and distribute supplies as needed across departments.
- Regularly review inventory levels of office supplies and place orders when stock is low.
- Keep the mailroom clean and organized, ensuring proper storage of mail and supplies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Candidate requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
- High School or equivalent.
- Knowledge of business office machines and office procedures.
- Strong understanding of postal procedures.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with mailroom management software or systems.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the day.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, frequently lifting or moving up to 30 pounds, crawling, stooping, and climbing ladders.
- Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License.
