ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Demonstrates leadership, integrity, teamwork, quality and urgency in the performance of one's functions and responsibilities to ensure the goals of customer satisfaction, market dominance and profitability are achieved.
• Conduct regular calls on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. 24/7 emergency calls from customers will be responded to. • Participate in Quoting Parts and Service then own the quote. Presentation and follow-up are the TSR’s responsibility. • Overnight travel during the week will be required. • Will monitor and direct customer parts & service delivery, cost reduction programs, lead-time improvements and quality improvement projects that will enhance customer value and business unit results. • Facilitate component management with parts personnel of the service exchange program for customers. • Focus on expanding aftermarket product offerings, i.e., Wire Rope, G.E.T., etc. • Counsel machine owners on the lowest possible operating costs for Caterpillar and/or non-OEM draglines, shovels and drills. • Inspect machines and provide evaluation with others. • Work with CAT mining support on component or parts warranty and goodwill. • Adhere to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc. in performing assigned duties.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

Provide technical oversight for various field and shop projects by supplying necessary technical information including drawings, technical specification, service advisories, etc. • Responsible for aftermarket parts, component forecasting and PLEO (Plan for Every Outage). • Assist Mine Maintenance Planning departments for shovels, draglines and drills. • Support Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), making sure new ideas are generated, worked and implemented, and any roadblocks are eliminated. • Initiate and conduct process improvement dialogues with Supervisors, Team Leads and Team Members.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY
|
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a mining equipment company.
- Business math proficiency. Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing allowing TSR to operate company vehicles.
- Good human relations skills to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department.
- Thorough knowledge of the technical and electrical components of mining equipment.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to utilize the materials available to sell products.
- Public speaking skills.
- Advanced computer (PC) skills. EXCEL, Word, Outlook
- Utilize basic selling skills (communication style, questioning, listening, feature/benefit relationship, call planning, territory management, objections, use of visuals, negotiating and closing) to effectively win the available business.
- Able to organize one's time, resources and accounts.
- Self-motivated.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
|
· Company facilities, customer offices and job sites. Physical activities include normal office work, driving, climbing on machines, capability to see, hear and feel machine condition indications.
· Able to work long days.
· Travel required.
· TSR needs to be able to lift 50 pounds and carry heavy items.
· Use of all necessary personal protective equipment.
