**Night Shift Opportunity**
You will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice in an emergent care environment. You will be able to recognize, triage, assess, and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.
Reports to: Director of ER
Qualifications:Required Skills
You must possess critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. You should be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Conscious Sedation competency completion is required within 90 days of date of hire. Ability to regularly accept on-call assignments and ability to report to hospital within 30 minutes of notification.
Required Licensure/Certification:
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and PALS within 90 days of date of hire
Handle with Care within one year of date of hire
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of VA, or Compact licensure as a Registered Nurse which includes the Commonwealth of VA, and in good standing with the Board.
Minimum Work Experience:
One year of previous experience in an ER as an RN is strongly preferred.
