X by 2 is an IT consulting firm comprised of strategists, software architects, and designers. As a Content Writer, you’ll work with Head of Marketing to develop engaging content for our marketing programs while also capturing and elevating the X by 2 brand. More than a strong writer, we’re looking for a strategic thinker and brand builder with a creative edge. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to wear many hats, work across channels and play a vital role in developing and scaling our marketing strategy and efforts. We’re seeking a candidate with experience in B2B marketing, particularly at the intersection of technology and professional services, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings creativity, initiative, and attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities

  • Write engaging content for case studies, articles, press releases, email, social media, website, PPC and other digital/traditional marketing efforts.
  • Proofread content to ensure accuracy, quality and brand voice.
  • Research and write technical pieces with direction.
  • Collaborate, support, and lead various on-going marketing activities and initiatives to help achieve the goals of the marketing department and X by 2.


Content Creation

  • Collaborate with designers and subject matter experts to produce content that is clear, engaging, and informative, breaking down complex healthcare and insurance technology topics for diverse audiences.
  • Stay informed on industry trends in insurance and healthcare technology to inspire new content ideas.
  • Write, proofread, and edit a range of materials, including case studies, articles, presentations, videos, press releases, email campaigns, social media posts, website copy, and ad copy.


Digital Marketing

  • Work alongside creatives and sales teams to execute targeted digital initiatives that generate qualified leads.
  • Assist in Planning, implementing, and managing SEO and SEM efforts using tools like Google Ads and Google Analytics.
  • Develop marketing campaigns and track engagement metrics using CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Monitor, nurture, and grow X by 2’s social media presence across platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.


General Marketing Support

  • Use data and analytics to evaluate and improve marketing strategies and campaign effectiveness.
  • Support conferences and events through content creation and attendance as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address the marketing needs of sales, recruiting, and company culture.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 1–2 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally within small- to mid-sized technology, professional services, or related companies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, professional writing, communications, journalism, or English.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and editing abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Adobe Suite is a plus).
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Google Analytics).
  • Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Local to the Metro Detroit area.
  • Experience working in small or mid-sized organizations

Compensation
