Are you an expert in fluid mechanics with a strong background in project management? We are seeking a Fluid Mechanics Project Manager to lead and oversee complex projects involving fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical systems for one of our EPC clients.

The role will be through a W2 set up and pay between $80 - $100 per hour alongside medical and 401k.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of fluid mechanics projects, from initial design to final implementation and testing.
- Apply fluid dynamics principles to optimize the performance of systems such as pumps, turbines, heat exchangers, and fluid flow networks.
- Oversee the development of fluid-based solutions, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, working closely with engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct simulations and modeling of fluid systems, leveraging tools like Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to enhance system design and analysis.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to fluid flow, pressure losses, thermal dynamics, and mechanical failures in systems.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication throughout all project phases.
- Lead performance testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of fluid systems to ensure they meet specified requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project teams, fostering innovation and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience (5 years) managing fluid mechanics projects in industries such as automotive, aerospace, energy, or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical system design.
- Expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and related simulation software.
- Solid experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating complex engineering projects.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex fluid flow challenges.
- Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in fluid mechanics.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients, contractors, and internal teams effectively.
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
