Senior Software Engineer

X4 Engineering is excited to announce a deepening partnership with a global financial services institution that is actively transforming the finance industry.
This organization is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join their front-office technology team, which collaborates closely with the Commodities & Global Markets division to drive strategic business goals.
In this role, you will develop high-quality technology solutions that support key applications within the Commodities & Global Markets trading group. You’ll be responsible for translating business requirements into effective system solutions, managing project delivery, and implementing best practices in software engineering.
Key Requirements :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field.
- Prior experience working within a Front Office environment on financial products with an understanding of risk.
- At least 5 years' of professional experience in Python development.
- Familiarity with C and other programming languages such as Rust / Golang (desirable).
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using Python libraries - Pandas / NumPy etc.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL / NoSQL databases.
- AWS proficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong communication skills.
The role is hybrid with at least 3 days’ per week in the Houston office.
