Xanterra is looking for a manager-level training professional to join the Corporate Environment, Health & Safety team. Security, Loss Prevention & Crisis Management are also a key focus of this team. This role is responsible for the successful execution of enterprise-wide EHS training, to include a focus on security and crisis response training initiatives by facilitating instructor-led, virtual classroom and online training programs across the organization. This role is responsible for providing support services for all training delivery staff. The ideal candidate is pro-active, involved, organized, energetic, and self-driven with the ability to connect with people and communicate effortlessly. This position involves approximately 80% travel.

Responsibilities
People & Culture
- Develop learning strategies and lead training efforts for EHS, security and crisis response initiatives to strengthen performance.
- Communicate training initiatives and delivery standards.
- Provide on-boarding and coaching support for field EHS teams, as directed.
- Build and maintain solid cross-functional relationships.
- Support the execution of training programs designed to grow and develop leaders in alignment with our talent strategies.
- Deliver engaging, visual, hands-on learning experiences (ILT and VILT) in both corporate and operational environments.
- Establish internal train the trainer and facilitator certification programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Monitor and report progress on training requirements within the EHS, security and crisis management disciplines.
- Connect learning to key business initiatives and priorities.
- Regularly meet with corporate EHS leadership, operational managers, and subject matter experts to collect and analyze data to evaluate learning program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with members from various departments within the company, as well as key external partners, to ensure that training content is accurate, relevant, and effective for audience and business needs
- Perform observation and assessment of instructional effectiveness for training delivery and implement improvements accordingly.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Define learning metrics and partner with key Learning & Development personnel and other internal data analysts to collect and visualize data for training.
- Utilize video conferencing, webinar, IM, LMS, and other technology platforms to deliver engaging virtual learning experiences.
- Assist in developing training evaluation strategies and establishing plans for extracting and mining training data/metrics.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Five years of professional experience in training, ideally within the crisis preparedness & response, security and regulatory safety arena.
- Extensive crisis response training experience with National Incident Management System (NIMS) work.
- Familiarity with general industry laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Offices products including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Analytical skills in assessing training program effectiveness and compliance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively to a variety of audiences including large groups.
- Proven ability to build productive relationships by positively interacting with coworkers, clients, industry groups, and consultants.
- Passion for the safety and security of people as well as the environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Loss Prevention, Communications or related field.
- Certified NIMS trainer
- OSHA
- Five years of experience in all aspects of security and crisis management programs.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint and/or other presentation support tools and systems.
- Experience with learning management systems.
- Experience in the hospitality industry.
- Passion for national parks and public lands.

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
