We are currently seeking a Senior Revenue Analyst/Accountant to be responsible for recording and analyzing revenues related to passenger cruise fares, Ship board revenues and all other ancillary (add on) revenue activity. This Position ensures accuracy and appropriate timing of revenue recognition. You will be responsible for account reconciliation and analysis of all categories of deferred revenues at each reporting date, including reconciliation of reservation sub system reports to the financial statements, for analysis of commission expense by channel and rate as well as parameters related to National Sales Accounts. This role also requires strong communication with personnel on vessels to ensure proper and complete reporting of Ship board revenues and resolution of discrepancies. The role publishes monthly recaps of Ship board revenue activities, is responsible for the monthly accrual of certain costs related to On Board and Add On revenues that ensures proper matching of revenues and expenses as well as the related accrual account reconciliations. You will also support the annual budget process by providing historic revenue trends by voyage and company metrics and by reviewing and analyzing budget data submitted by various departments. The Sr Analyst/Accountant is the Finance & Accounting subject matter expect of Seaware (reservation system) in matters related to revenue and commissions.

Responsibilities
Revenue Recognition:
- Adhere to Company policy and GAAP requirements in determining triggers for revenue recognition.
- Closely communicate with Pursers and Voyage Leaders to ensure completeness in both On Board revenues and cost of sales.
- Work with various departments including Vacation Planning and Sales to ensure revenue as recorded in the reservation system agrees with related contracts.
- Work with the Revenue Operations team to ensure proper revenue reporting.
- Maintenance of the accounting reports in reservation system.
- Primary support for annual audit related assigned areas.
- Prepare accurate journal entries for revenues, commission expense and cost of sales related to certain on board and add on revenues.
- Prepare monthly summary of managerial metrics, such as complimentary items and revenue margin analysis as part of management close meeting.
- Adhere to month end close schedule. Work is completed by 4th working day of each month.
- Completion of key balance sheet account reconciliations during month end close.
- Other duties, as assigned, including ad-hoc revenue reporting.
- Assists manager in development and/or improvement of procedures and controls.
- Ability to gather, interpret and explain financial results to relevant department heads.
- Assist manager with monthly forecast planning.
- Cruise Industry background a plus
- Experience evaluating and improving financial processes.
- General Ledger experience of at least 5 years, revenue recognition a plus
