Xavier University of Louisiana, an NAIA institution located in New Orleans, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant Volleyball Coach for a full-time position. The assistant coach will be responsible for assisting the head coach in all phases of the program. This includes, but is not limited to, recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, overall program administration, practice, and game preparation. AA/EOE
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree is required from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous successful college coaching and/or playing experience preferred. A strong commitment to the student first concept and a working knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations is required. Strong organization, oral, written communication and computer skills are required. Working knowledge of social media platforms (i.e., Instagram, TikTok, Twitter).
Special Requirements Summary Work Hours
The position requires frequent travel, and requires work hours throughout the day and during the weekends.

- Assist with fundraising and community outreach programs to promote the sport's program as an integral part of the community and the University
- Serve as a mentor to the student-athletes
- Supervise graduate assistants and managers
- Other related duties as assigned by the Executive DIrector of Athletics and Athletics Department administrative staff
