Quality Assurance Supervisor

Job Description
Xceldyne is the global leader in motorsports valve and valvetrain component manufacturing in the world! The Xceldyne engineering and manufacturing facility is focused on titanium, steel, and aluminum performance parts from Formula One and NASCAR racing engines.
Summary/objective
Plans, coordinates, and directs Quality Assurance functions and applications that meet product requirements and organizational objectives. Implement quality assurance programs across the organization. Effectively communicate internally across all functions and externally with customers and vendors. Strong ability to problem solve and prioritize. Relies on established quality criteria in decision making.
Essential functions
- Contribute to daily departmental output by visually and dimensionally inspecting products and devices.
- Knowledgeable in all product lines and familiar with customer expectations.
- Create a highly functioning department in collaboration with other quality, manufacturing, and engineering personnel.
- Able to run all equipment and master all equipment functionality. Efficiently apply GD&T concepts for approval of the product (final QA).
- Proactively and quickly handle crisis situations to resolve issues related to quality, manufacturing processes, product design, customer requests/complaints, and product failure.
- Complete reports and other paperwork accurately and on time. Respond to emails and requests in a timely manner. Effectively file reports and other documents in an organized manner including electronic filing.
- Review and disposition all product returns and authorize customer credit.
- Assist all personnel with training and in determining proper inspection techniques, drawing interpretation, and pass/fail criteria.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills focused on providing exceptional service.
- Ability to lead others and identify opportunities for training and process improvements.
- Preferred: Experience with CMM programming using Calypso software.

Physical demands and work environment:
Able to sit and work at a desk, typing on a keyboard while looking at a computer screen, able to stand for up to 4-6 hours at a time, expected to stoop, bend, and lift while working with product, files, and records, able to lift/pull up to 25 pounds. Walking, including up and down stairs. High level of noise in some areas.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
