This is a 100% on site only position supporting NGA in Springfield, Va.
We’re seeking a Senior Data Scientist with expertise in Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join our team. In this role, you’ll apply advanced AI and machine learning techniques to analyze complex, geospatial data, uncover hidden patterns, and provide predictive insights that drive national security operations.
This is a rare opportunity to apply your skills in AI and GEOINT to real-world, high-impact national security challenges. Your work will have direct consequences in safeguarding the nation, predicting threats, and supporting key decision-making.
In addition to geospatial analysis, you'll develop algorithms that optimize operational efficiency and automate processes, improving the overall effectiveness of national security efforts. Your work will be crucial in visualizing spatial data, building predictive models, and integrating insights across multiple sources to support strategic planning.
We’re looking for someone with 10 years of experience in data science, particularly in GEOINT and AI. You should have hands-on experience developing models and algorithms using Python, R, and SQL, as well as proficiency with geospatial tools like ArcGIS and QGIS. Experience with machine learning techniques — including predictive modeling, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP) — is essential. You’ll need to be comfortable working with large, complex datasets across PostgreSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL databases.
