As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for steering the company's accounting and financial operations. You will handle day-to-day accounting tasks, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to positively impact the future of energy!  

• Financial Operations Management: Manage daily financial operations, including accounting, payroll, billing, and financial reporting. Work closely with the executive leadership team to align on strategic financial initiatives and ensure operational execution. 
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the preparation of budget reports and financial forecasts, and analyze budget variances and financial performance in alignment with the company’s goals and projects. 
• Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Conduct detailed financial analyses to support decision making by the executive team and other senior leaders. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data and trends. 
• Compliance and Control: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations. Manage all financial and audit processes to uphold financial health and integrity. 
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with the executive leadership team to effectively communicate financial status and updates to internal and external stakeholders, including potential investors and financial institutions. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA is preferred. 
• 8 years of financial management experience at the senior manager or director level.
• Prior experience in a high-growth startup.
• Experience supporting hardware organizations and complex integrated supply chains (deep tech, fusion energy, aerospace, or space and defense preferred).
• Comprehensive understanding of financial accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 
• Strong FP&A experience.
• Demonstrated ability to implement financial systems, processes, and controls. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to business issues. 
• Ability to maintain trust and deliver on commitments.
• Proven experience working with rigorous urgency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams. 
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum.

• Proficient with the latest financial software and accounting systems. 
• Effective leadership and team management abilities.

Paid Time Off: 15 days per year based on weekly scheduled hours, 10 paid sick leave, and 13 company-paid holidays for all regular employees (including part-time), fixed-term, and interns. Equity will be granted to eligible employees. Equity is designed to allow employees to share in company results and success.

Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
