What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at Xclusive Trading, Inc.?
We are seeking an Assistant Controller to become an integral part of our team! You will oversee financial activities and personnel as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all financial activities and personnel
- Prepare financial statements such as profit and loss reports, balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements to understand the financial state of business
- Set controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase return on investments
- Managing the budget process and assist management with important financial decisions
- Oversee payroll for over 400 employees on a bi weekly basis.
- Oversee the reconciliation for store level inventory through our accounting software to ensure correct balances.
- Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
- Conduct internal audits to assess financial status
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Serve as primary contact for external auditors
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
- Manage all monetary transactions for the company including checks, invoices and vendor payments.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting management or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- 2 years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Assistant Controller preferred
- Required at least 2 years of QBO experience.
- BA/BS in Accounting required
- CPA, CGMA, CMA or MBA Preferred.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
