The operations manager will be responsible for managing resources, such as labor, materials, and equipment, to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals in a multi-shift Reverse Logistics faciltiy. Analyzes and improves organizational processes, and work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency.  Anticipates and tracks operational and tactical risks while formulating strategic solutions.  Fosters teamwork and cooperation among direct staff and broader organizational groups.

Schedule:  

Monday through Friday - Day Shift


Key responsibilities also include being a champion for safety and environmental certifications, adhering to the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), and maintaining ethical and respectful business practices.

  • ·       Formulates long and short-range strategies for continuous improvement.
  • ·       Possesses the ability to nimbly react to market conditions and customer requirements while still delivering on KPI’s.
  • ·       Demonstrates insatiable desire for Innovation and Lean as a cultural attribute throughout the operation.
  • ·       Exhibits focus and stamina while delivering strategic transformation projects crafted with senior leadership.
  • ·       Leverages technology and 5S to maintain a competitive advantage to other service options.
  • ·       Identifies and tracks issues and conflicts, removes barriers, resolves issues of medium complexity involving stakeholders and escalates to appropriate level when required.
  • ·       Establishes and maintains credible, professional relationships with clients, internal business lines, and external vendors.
  • ·       Solicits and responds to feedback while gaining commitment and support.
  • ·       Stays up to date on industry regulations, trends, and technology.
  • ·       Ensures supervisors maintain training records for functional assignments accurately and timely.
  • ·       Facilitates delivery of mandatory trainings such as Hazcom and Workplace Harassment Prevention.

  • Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations


Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 7 years managerial or leadership experience
  • Experience with a Union workforce preferred
  • Prior participation in Lean Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen events a plus.
  • Significant experience within logistics, light assembly, or fulfillment operations required.
