Construction Estimator - Flooring Specialist

Flooring Estimator

Due to our continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to handle a variety of tasks for a flooring contractor business. Your primary focus in this role will be estimating projects while maintaining professional communication with existing customer and vendor accounts, light bookkeeping and various office processes.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review and interpret bid documents, plans, elevations, finish schedules and budgets.
• Create flooring take-offs, identify potential installation problems based on plans, products or requested designs.
• Quantify & qualify all material quantities for a precise and accurate estimate/proposal.
• Analyze project cost to estimated cost for accurate job costing.
• Communicate and maintain professional relationship with owners, architects, contractors, and suppliers.
• Maintain files and accurate records and work collaboratively with all teammates.
• Review and complete journal entries, timecards, and other personnel duties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and work with blueprints.
• Must have strong math skills.
• Must be proficient with computers, spreadsheets, data entry, and software applications.
• Ability to multi-task and easily adjust to different needs and tasks.
• Ability to communicate in English clearly, concisely, and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

Experience

• Must have a minimum of three (3) year experience estimating flooring or other construction trade.
• Blue Beam and QuickBooks experience is required.

Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include accidents/dental/life insurance, 401K.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
