Ideal Educational Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related field.
- Advanced coursework or certifications in data analytics, AI, or data science is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with hands-on involvement in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance" OR (TPM))
- Proven track record of implementing data-driven solutions that improve manufacturing processes.
- Experience in a role where cross-functional collaboration with process and IT teams was essential.
- Familiarity with manufacturing IT systems (MES, ERP, SCADA) and data integration.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and how to leverage data to optimize those processes.
- Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and familiarity with AI/ML concepts.
- Experience with data validation, data wrangling, and performing gap analyses.
- Understanding of data governance and the ability to ensure data quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to speak the language of both the customer and the data science team.
- Positive, energetic demeanor with a passion for solving complex problems.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value propositions for non-technical stakeholders.
