Position Summary:
Evolution Markets, an Xpansiv firm, seeks an ambitious, sales oriented individual to act as a Director of Origination. This is a front office, revenue generation role. It combines a client focused sales and new business focus with energy data analytics and veteran brokerage knowledge support. Role will be principally focused on renewable energy (solar, battery, wind) developers and hedge providers, traditional power and natural gas products, compliance and carbon-emission products, and climate (weather) linked risks. This is a hybrid position with preference based in Houston, TX and option to be in White Plains, NY or NYC
\n- Manage new client origination, onboarding, and service proposal and transaction fulfillment for Structured Transactions team.
- Coordinate client interest and cross-selling opportunities with other Xpansiv businesses, including EVO brokerage, Data teams, and Xpansiv affiliates (CBL Markets, APX).
- Produce client specific proposals outlining potential solutions consistent with solving client needs. Maintain, upgrade, and report customer relationship management (CRM) pipeline
- Create, validate, and ongoing testing of predictive models for assessing power commodity “shaping” risk and renewables pricing. Collaboration with Senior Analyst role.
- Participate in ad hoc projects providing guidance and market expansion (including niche M&A), state and federal policy changes, and competitor behaviour.
- 7 years of experience in commodity, renewable or financial markets in a sales and origination, trading, structuring, or hybrid role.
- Proven track record of delivering new clients and new revenue in structured products environments.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with renewable energy markets or project development.
- A BS degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, or related field is required. MBA is preferred.
- Candidate should demonstrate the following characteristics:
- Comfort with a specific annual revenue/P&L target
- Team player; ability to work with a tight-knit and lean team
- Able to make quick and independent decisions;
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- NFA Series 3 license

Base Salary
Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, knowledge, education and training. However, compensation in the Tier 1 & Tier 2 regions is expected to be as follows:
Tier 1: $135,000 -$150,000
Tier 2: $125,000 -$140,000
