Position Summary:

Xpansiv is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our team and assist in enhancing the documentation and technical elements of our suite of APIs that support our technology platform. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work with Xpansiv’s Product, Development, and Testing teams to gain hands-on experience working in API development, documentation, and automated testing.

• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the development, QA, and product teams to gather requirements, understand API functionalities, and ensure that documentation and testing tools meet the needs of all stakeholders.
• Update Documentation: Review and update existing API documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness. Identify gaps or areas for improvement and ensure consistency across all API documentation resources.
• Provide Sample Payloads: Develop and provide sample payloads for various API endpoints to help developers understand and utilize the APIs effectively.
• Develop Automated Testing Tools: Create and implement automated testing tools to support regression testing of the APIs. Ensure that the testing tools are robust and can identify potential issues in the API functionality.
• Conduct Testing: Perform manual and automated testing of the APIs to ensure they function as expected. Report any issues or discrepancies and work with the development team to resolve them.
• Assist in Training: Help develop training materials and attend training sessions for internal teams and clients to ensure effective use of the APIs and related tools.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of API development and documentation.
• Experience with programming languages or tools such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Postman.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to work remotely/virtually across time zones with various groups and cultures.
