Forklift Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.

Duties

• Operate a forklift to move materials following all safety rules.
• Load and unload products from trailers or containers
• Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment
• Immediately report any and all malfunctions or problems with equipment.
• Record all moves of product and ensure product location is properly recorded.
• Move stock and other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, or containers, by hand or using forklifts, or other equipment.
• Sort product before storing in designated locations.
• Verify product is correct and marked correctly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Connect electrical equipment to power sources so that it can be ready for next use.
• Will assist with on the job training of new employee’s.
• Assist in other warehouse duties as needed
• Any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization’s Values

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating a forklift, including Cherry picker, Order picking, and Pallet jack
• Ability to handle heavy equipment operation and perform heavy lifting
• Proficiency in Warehouse management systems
• Familiarity with Shipping and receiving processes
• Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds on a repetitive basis while unloading containers.
• Bilingual is a plus
• Must be able to understand and follow directions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.75 - $16.65 per hour
