Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including standard forklifts, cherry pickers, and order pickers, to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and ensure accurate shipping and receiving processes.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks using pallet jacks and cranes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational challenges.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately counting and recording stock levels.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation requirements.
- Experience using RF scanners for inventory management is a plus.
- Ability to operate additional material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, cranes, or other specialized machinery is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
- Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $17.60 - $18.60 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
