Position Summary :
The Channel Manager for Educational Resource Development is responsible for identifying, establishing, and maintaining strategic partnerships and channels to expand the reach and utilization of educational resources. This role focuses on building relationships with various educational institutions, distributors, and other relevant organizations to drive growth and innovation in the educational resource market.
Key Responsibilities :
1.Channel Identification and Development
Research and analyze the educational market to identify potential channels and partners for educational resource distribution, such as schools, colleges, online learning platforms, educational publishers, and training centers.
Develop and implement strategies to approach and engage with these potential channels, including creating compelling value propositions and partnership proposals.
Proactively seek out new business opportunities and partnerships that can enhance the company's educational resource offerings and market presence.
2.Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing channel partners. Regularly communicate with them to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide support and guidance on the effective use of our educational resources.
Conduct regular partner performance reviews and work with underperforming partners to develop improvement plans or, if necessary, make decisions regarding the continuation of the partnership.
Organize and participate in partner events, training sessions, and conferences to enhance partner knowledge and loyalty, and to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
3.Market and Product Knowledge
Stay updated on the latest trends, policies, and regulations in the education industry, as well as emerging educational technologies and teaching methodologies. Use this knowledge to advise partners and contribute to the development of relevant educational resources.
Have in-depth knowledge of the company's educational resource portfolio, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages. Be able to effectively communicate this information to partners and end-users to drive product adoption.
Provide feedback from partners and the market to the internal product development and marketing teams to help shape future product enhancements and new product launches.
4.Sales and Revenue Growth
Work closely with channel partners to develop joint marketing and sales plans to increase the sales of educational resources. This may include creating promotional materials, running joint advertising campaigns, and setting sales targets and incentives.
Monitor sales performance through the channel partners and take proactive measures to address any issues or challenges that may arise. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional educational resources and services.
Contribute to the achievement of overall company revenue and growth objectives by maximizing the potential of the channel network and ensuring the effective execution of channel strategies.
5.Contract and Agreement Management
Negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements with channel partners, ensuring that all terms and conditions are clearly defined and beneficial to both parties. This includes aspects such as pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and intellectual property rights.
Regularly review and update contracts as needed, in line with changes in the market, business requirements, or partner circumstances. Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and resolve any disputes or issues that may arise in a timely and professional manner.
6.Team Collaboration
Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, customer service, and operations to ensure seamless integration and support for channel activities. Provide input and feedback to these teams to optimize processes and improve overall performance.
Share best practices and market insights with colleagues to contribute to the professional development and growth of the entire team. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and other company initiatives to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in channel management, sales, or business development, experience in Laser engraving and STEAM related industry is preferred
Strong understanding of the education market and its dynamics, including the needs and challenges of educational institutions and learners.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving sales and growth targets.
Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic plans based on insights and trends.
Good organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
