RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
The Quality Assurance Manager reports directly to the Accountable Manager in all matters affecting the Airworthiness, performance of technical department and adherences to safety standards. The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for coordinating, directing, and controlling the internal evaluation program. His/her duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Direct all personnel in the Quality Assurance Department, which includes the Quality Assurance inspectors/auditors.
- Maintain Company approved vendor listing by performing scheduled audits.
- Coordinate or initiate recommendations for permanent correction of discrepancies and concerns generated by internal audits using QC-08 form. Makes recommendations for changes in the audit process.
- Makes recommendations concerning content of company manuals and the implementations of revisions.
- Audit the training files and employment summaries for supervisory, inspection and maintenance personnel. Employment summaries will include.

- Recommend remedial training for individuals exhibiting poor maintenance documentation during audit function.
- Revising the personnel roster will be accomplished by the Chief Inspector, however, the Manager of Quality Assurance will audit whenever changes in personnel occur (reassignment, change in duties, and addition of personnel or termination of employment).
- Ensure that XTREME AVIATION LLC. will not maintain or repair any airframe, power plant or component parts thereof for which it is not rated or if the required technical data, equipment, materials, facilities, and trained personnel are not available.
- Administer the outside repair agency and subcontractor approval program including the Audit and/or inspection, as required for those facilities.
- Maintain a file of quarterly audit findings and corrective actions with forms QC-08 and QC-010, for un period of two years.
- Ensures by auditing that the special tooling and precision test equipment are calibrated in accordance with the Company’s calibration program.
- By auditing production and work in progress paperwork, she/he will assure that no defective; unserviceable or un-airworthy parts are installed on any aircraft or components thereof that are returned to service by Quality Control Inspectors.
- In conjunction with Quality Control Department, she/he will submit reports of defects and un-airworthy conditions to the local FAA FSDO in accordance with FAR 145.221 and notifies Air carriers of such submissions.
- Perform audits on receiving process to make sure that all incoming material, including new parts, passes receiving inspection.
- Perform walk around inspections on the facility and line maintenance operation to make sure the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components as outlined in the Repair Station Quality Control Manual.
- Audit turn over logs for continuity of inspection responsibility to assure completion of required inspections when shift or assignment changes.
- Insure that rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a manner as to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts.
- Audit the company’s calibration program. Assure that the special tooling and precision equipment is calibrated per the company’s calibration program.
- Maintain liaison with the FAA on all matters concerning certification and inspections of the Repair Station. Represents the Repair Station in matters of Airworthiness and regulatory compliance with the FAA, TCCA, EASA, Air Carriers, and overseas in a timely manner.
- Audit maintenance files of completed work orders in such a manner that the file pertaining to a specific item repaired can be readily located on the electronic recordkeeping server for review.
- Assure that all technical data used to inspect or accomplish work on the aircraft is recorded on the work order by quality control inspectors including those provided by the customer.
- The Manager Quality Assurance may delegate all duties to any qualified assistant as necessary; however, such delegation does not relieve the Manager Quality Assurance of the overall responsibilities.
- Has the authority and overall responsibility for the integrity and security of the electronic recordkeeping system.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must read, write, and understand English language. Range and accuracy on pronunciation, structure, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, and interaction.
- Shall be knowledgeable with the 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station/Quality Control Manual, Forms Manual, and Federal Aviation Regulations pertinent to the company operation.
- Must have a minimum of three years current experience in job skill related to the position.
- Shall possess the knowledge and ability necessary to perform the work and recommend corrective actions on deficiencies.
- Computer literate & knowledge of XTREMA AVIATION LLC. maintenance procedures.
- Supports the Quality Director in decisions made concerning the wellbeing of the maintenance process and Air Carrier’s policies and procedures.
- Able to meet deadlines, objectives, and deliver results.
- Ability to learn and remain calm and focused under pressure.
