The Role
The Workday Technical Solution Architect will serve as the global solution owner for Workday technical solutions and integrations. This pivotal role requires an individual who possesses a deep understanding of Workday's architecture, robust experience in designing and implementing technical solutions, and the ability to guide and influence a diverse, global team. Core Responsibilites
Solution Design and Architecture
- Lead the conceptualization and design of Workday technical solutions and integrations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture blueprints and documentation.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Advise on what we “should” do, not just what we “can” do.
- Oversee the implementation of Workday integrations, ensuring seamless data flow between Workday and other enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that integration solutions meet the needs of the business.
- Act as the technical authority for all Workday-related projects and initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the IT team.
- Develop and enforce technical standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of existing solutions to ensure they remain aligned with architectural principles and organizational goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday technical solutions and integrations.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure successful collaboration and delivery of solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Workday technical architecture and integrations.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale Workday solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Workday Web Services, and REST APIs.
- Experience with middleware and ETL tools
- In-depth knowledge of Workday's architecture and technical components.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, data mapping, and transformation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a global and multicultural environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Prior Workday HCM system experience.
- Understanding of HR business context and ability to translate to technical developers.
- Workday Pro Certification
- Certification in project management methodologies such as PMP or Agile is a plus.
