What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant position at Y.E.S. The Arc?
Duties:
- Assist with the administration of HR programs and processes, including employee recruiting, onboarding, training, recordkeeping and offboarding procedures.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems such as Therap, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Conduct data entry and generate reports related to employee information, payroll, and attendance.
- Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Assist with employee relations matters, including conflict management and resolution.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives for employees.
- Assist with HR projects as assigned.
Requirements:
1. Must have a high school diploma or GED; and
2. At a minimum, two (2) years of administrative experience with preferred one (1) year in recruiting.
3. Must have a professional and mature demeanor with excellent people and communication skills. Possessing a high regard for confidentiality is of utmost importance.
4. Must possess exceptional time management and organizational skills, be detail orientated and able to multi-task.
5. Be self-motivated, self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
6. Must have experience in Word, Excel and Outlook; and Internet usage.
7. Possess good typing and grammatical skills.
8. The ability to work flexible hours.
9. Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
10. Must be fingerprinted and able to obtain and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
11. Must possess a valid Arizona Drivers License.
12. Must possess and maintain a clean 39-month driving record (no major traffic violations and not more than two minor traffic violations).
13. Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing.
14. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry 35 lbs; stand and sit for extended periods; bend at the waist and knees; kneel for extended periods.
15. Must possess the ability to exercise restraint and self-control in potentially volatile situations, including, but not limited to, being confronted verbally and/or physically in a threatening or aggressive manner by the individuals receiving support. This also includes the ability to deal with and redirect aggressive behavior.
