What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver/Companion position at Y&M Caring Services LLC?
COMPANION: services consist of non-medical, supervision and socialization activities provided to an adult A companion provider may also assist the individual with such tasks as meal preparation, shopping; however, these activities shall not be performed as discrete services this services. This service does not entail hands-on medical care. Providers may also perform light housekeeping tasks which are incidental to the care and supervision of the individual
Responsibility:
1. Ask consumer what they desire to do on that day and were they would like to go.
2. Prepare weekly activities with clients. Sample of activities are (taking him/her to the movies, mall, shopping, beach, park, library and other entertainment center.
3. Assures consumers and staff are seat-belted in any vehicle.
Consumer Services and Support
- Socialization/leisure activities (in and out of home)
- Shopping
Assists consumer in maintaining contact with family members and friends as needed
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
