The Y-Yard Auto & Truck, Inc is a state of the art automotive recycling facility that provides an alternate solution to repairing vehicles. With over 55 years in business, the Y-Yard takes great pride in the hard working staff that are key components to their success.
Our accounting staff is growing and we are seeking an experienced accounts payable/receivable specialist to assist our financial controller.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices, including verifying invoices for accuracy, obtaining necessary approvals, and issuing payments to vendors
- Process accounts receivable invoices, including sending invoices to customers, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable and receivable balances
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on accounts payable and receivable activity
- Assist with other accounting duties as needed
- Manage and complete all tasks involved in the accounts payable process
- Manage and complete all processes involved with the accounts receivable
- Analyze transaction information to identify refunds, delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
- Process all payments using QuickBooks or ACH
- Process all credit applications
- Local deliveries to bank and post office
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable, with more emphasis on payables
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
