KEMET, a YAGEO Group company, is seeking a highly motivated and energetic person to assist process engineering functions within the Simpsonville Innovation Center. This individual will support process control, production, and quality control activities related to the manufacture of high-performance Ta Specialty capacitors. He or she will work under the direction of the Process Engineering Manager.
Job Description
- Establish and maintain metrics and indicators used to demonstrate process control and yield improvement.
- Employ Six Sigma quality tools to enable root cause analysis for nonconforming product.
- Gather and analyze data to support efforts to reduce cost and improve efficiencies.
- Work in cross function team atmosphere to ensure the delivery of high-quality components on schedule.
- Commissioning & qualification of new equipment and technologies.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Engineering (Mechanical; Chemical; Electrical preferred)
- 1-3 Year of related experience preferred.
- Team first attitude, flexible, demonstrate a desire to provide solutions.
- Must have strong analytical and computer skills; experience in statistics (SPC and DOE) strongly preferred.
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing operations.
- Excellent verbal and technical writing skills.
- Must be able to work effectively across disciplines and to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to multi-task in a high paced environment.
