Join our team! We have an exciting opening for a full-time Business Development Associate to join our innovative Commercial team in Madison, Wisconsin!
As a Business Development Associate, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with our dynamic Sales and Marketing teams to drive lead generation and help nurture relationships with potential clients. You'll play a key role in engaging with prospects, qualifying leads, and scheduling meetings to explore new opportunities. Additionally, you'll support our webinar efforts by recruiting attendees and following up with those who show interest. Using HubSpot CRM, you'll document your interactions and keep everything organized for smooth collaboration across teams. We look forward to seeing how your expertise can help us grow and thrive!
What You’ll Do:
Recruit & Support Webinar Attendance
- Support the creation of written and video content for the LinkedIn page.
- Support Yahara event registration and outreach (tradeshow lists, event lists, webinars, etc.).
- Coordinate with marketing team on outreach efforts.
- Engage with industry-aligned professionals to generate interest in webinars.
- Personalize communication based on your audience to generate maximum interest in events, webinars, etc.
- Utilize outreach data to continuously craft your communication.
- Follow up with webinar attendees to gather feedback and evaluate for further prospecting efforts.
- Hand off qualified leads to the sales team as appropriate.
- Send event reminder invitations.
Provide Sales Coordination
- Ensure CRM (HubSpot) is up to date for all assigned active opportunities.
- Attend industry and location-based networking events, trade shows, and conferences. Track meeting metrics like contacts made and meetings scheduled.
- Provide feedback to the marketing team based on client interactions.
- Transition qualified prospects to sales professionals for further follow-up.
Prospect Target Entities in Appropriate Domains
- Present Yahara and its brand professionally to potential clients through calls, emails, and social media. Identify key decision makers and initial constraints.
- Research and target ideal client organizations. Initiate contact through various channels.
- Help identify key prospects.
- Follow the sales and prospecting playbooks carefully, often under the guidance of other Business Development Specialists.
- Actively seek referrals using your network and networking skills.
- Monitor social channels of Yahara, industry-related groups, and prospective organizations for relevant news and trends. Engage in social conversations.
- Transition qualified prospects to sales professionals for further follow-up.
- Other
- Adhere to identified Yahara sales playbook and techniques in all interactions; oftentimes under the guidance and mentorship of other Business Development Specialists.
- Attend industry and location-based networking events, trade shows, and conferences; track meeting metrics (i.e. contacts made, meetings scheduled, etc.).
- Attend ongoing sales training courses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:
Required:
- Associate’s degree in Sales or Marketing or related field.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable self-transportation are required.
- Demonstrated collaboration across both internal and external teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with colleagues from different departments (e.g., sales, marketing, design) to achieve shared goals.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales or Marketing or related field.
