The Youth Respite worker will provide respite service focusing on short-term assistance and / or relief for children / youth with disabilities (developmental, physical and / or behavioral), and family / caregivers.
Respite services are provided to children with developmental disabilities between the ages of 5 and 21, who are seeking services after school and after work hours.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide one-on-one direct care for children and families with a wide array of disabilities.
- Provide necessary resources and support system development.
- Provides supportive peer counseling, friendly and understanding conversation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to utilize critical thinking, problem-solving and de-escalation skills.
- Completes all required training successfully
- Performs other duties as assigned
Compensation $27
