Reports to: FGX Shipping Manager
Job Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- Excellent mathematical, communication and computer skills, be strongly detail oriented and be able to easily multi-task.
- Should be able to independently to initiate, prioritize, and perform or solve work problems and ultimately achieve work objectives and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in written and verbal form with co-workers, supervisor and management.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).
- Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
- Follow written (Standard Operating Procedures -SOP’s, company memos & emails) and verbal instructions.
- Minimum of six months related experience with demonstrated aptitude to learn on-the-job.
- Familiarity with plant equipment operation and SOPs.
- Possess a strong work ethic to positively contribute to the company’s mission, vision, values and environmental policy and quality policy.
- Must have a positive attitude, support co-workers to obtain desired objectives, and assist others in their contributions.
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for extended periods of time and access stairs and ladders.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat occasionally to frequently.
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (in required areas) for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift (up to 50 lbs), carry (up to 44 lbs) occasionally to frequently within normal limits.

- Must be able to learn ERP systems to perform data entry & print reports.
- Ability to adapt to changing paces and processes quickly.

Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to maintain accurate shipping records and assist with inventory records.
Job Duties:
- Investigate and resolve issues with shipping and assist with inventory issues.
- Assist with inventory counts.
- Create pick sheets to distribute to Shipping transfer for transfers and removal from warehouse.
- Work with Shipping Lead to ensure transfers go out in a timely manner.
- Participate in Production and Inventory meetings.
- Assist the Shipping Supervisor when necessary.
- Create copies of paperwork required in the Plant (work orders, pick sheets, product logs etc.) 8. Create and maintain sign-in sheet for visitors of the shipping warehouse.
- Confer with department supervision or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
- Maintain shipping logs accurate, LTL and Parcels Logs.
- Apply codes to shipments for Accuracy and Timeliness.
- Provide proper documents for International shipments, work with International Logistics.
- Double check Deliveries for accuracy.
- Keeping up with the High increase of Shipments do to the addition of E-Commerce.
- Responsible that all E-Commerce orders are being shipped at a timely manner, Validate Ecommerce orders by batch to match date stamped.
- Help the shipping team pull deliveries when we’re short staffed, also keeping up with daily requirements.
- Communicate with Inventory Coordinator of any wrong allocations being made by the sales team, also make sure all deliveries with Transfers are being communicated to the Inventory Coordinator.
- Validating all shipped Deliveries by end of day and making sure that the validations are being done accurately.
- Imputing Tracking information to all shipments being done Daily, 50-80 deliveries a day.
- Matching all signed BOL’s to Deliveries and separating them by CSS, scanning all deliveries plus signed BOL’s to each CSS by end of day.
- Constant communication with the Sales Team regarding scheduled pickups, obtaining BOL’s for Customer Pick Up orders, running quotes for FTL Dry vans and Reefer trucks.
- Continuously look for ways to improve process efficiency and notify immediate supervisor of observations and recommendations.
- Work in conjunction with Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Maintain sanitary and safe work environment.
- Follow safety requirements.
- May actively participate on company’s Safety Committee.
- Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
- Must have a complete understanding of company’s policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability.
- Must adhere to all company policies.
- Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Follow all SOPs in a given area.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager and/or designee.
