POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for maintenance and janitorial tasks in the Clubhouse and Swimming Pool Facilities. The Director of Maintenance reports directly to the General Manager. Requires a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Demonstrated knowledge of proper lifting techniques and safety precautions to be observed while performing duties.
Skilled in the use of a variety of hand/power tools.
General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, pool maintenance, and carpentry.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to diagnose routine maintenance problems and perform repairs.
Ability to develop a preventative maintenance program.
Position requires a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a similar operation.
GENERAL DUTIES
The Director of Maintenance’s duties include, but are not limited to, the tasks listed below. He/she will perform special projects, tasks and attend meetings as directed by the General Manager
DAILY
Supervises and plans work for clubhouse of janitorial employee(s).
Inspects cleanliness and order of clubhouse, particularly for areas likely to be overlooked in daily routine.
Compiles and maintains work assignments for routine maintenance.
Orders and maintains all janitorial and maintenance supplies and equipment.
Maintains cleanliness of janitorial/maintenance work areas
Performs general repairs and maintenance of clubhouse, locker rooms, kitchen, pool locker rooms, to include minor plumbing, electrical and construction work. Consults with the General Manager on outside maintenance services necessary.
Communicates with General Manager on a regular basis to ensure cleanliness, maintenance of facilities, and needed repairs.
Performs minor building construction as instructed by General Manager
Identify and report safety hazards to General Manager
Touch up and paint rooms that need painting in clubhouse.
Service the water-softener.
Assist when needed with the set up and break down the dance floor for special occasions.
SEASONALLY
Clean Pool and deck area (For Opening and Closing Season)
Must have some knowledge of pool maintenance for chemicals and pool equipment room.
Responsible for ordering pool chemicals and cleaning supplies for pool facilities.
Assist with golf tournament set up when necessary.
Winterize all buildings.
PERIODIC
Read water meter and sub-meters.
Check all restroom exhaust fans, clean and service.
Work on scheduled maintenance items (maintain a schedule)
Spot check clubhouse equipment for performance
Change filter on all air-conditioner units.
Interior and exterior painting
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift various objects up to 80 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work overhead for extended periods.
Ability to climb over, under and around objects during repair and maintenance.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 46 per week
