The Yakima County Assessor's Office is seeking a Program Specialist (Personal Property Auditor) to join our team! In this exciting role, you’ll be the go-to expert in auditing and processing personal property assessments, making sure everything is accurate and equitable for our community. You’ll work with state guidelines and depreciation schedules, connect with taxpayers and tax service corporations, and maintain important records like mobile home titles and assessments. Plus, you'll be helping shape the way personal property assessments are handled in Yakima County, making a real impact in our community.Key Responsibilities: Audit and process personal property assessments with physical, desk, and phone audits.Ensure equitable assessment of all personal property across the County.Handle mobile home title eliminations, merges, and segregations.Respond to questions and concerns from property owners and the public.Work with engineering drawings, plats, and land use maps to verify parcel boundaries.Support customer service in the absence of the cadastral technician team.Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED AND 4 years of real estate/title clerk experience, or data entry experience; OR a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.Required: Valid WA State Driver’s License and proof of insurance (if requested).Successful completion of general employment verification.Ready to Apply?We want to hear from you!
