Adjunct Economics Instructor
Part-Time, Non-Tenure
Salary:
$920 per Instructional Unit
Up to 10 IU's/Quarter
Yakima Valley College seeks innovative adjunct Economic Instructors committed to community college students and their success. This position is part-time, non-tenure track.
Reporting to the Dean – Arts and Sciences, the adjunct Economic Instructors will be accomplished and active in their discipline, committed to participating in a multicultural, interdisciplinary learning environment, and skilled in the technology of learning and research.
JOB PROFILE:- Responsible for facilitating student learning in economics, including but not limited to the following courses: Introduction to Economics (Econ 101), Microeconomics (Econ 201), and Macroeconomics (Econ 202).
- Provide classroom support for students with a variety of backgrounds and experience levels.
- Master's Degree in Economics or related field
- OR Master's degree in Business Administration with graduate-level course in Economics.
- Minimum of one year teaching experience at the college or university level.
- Experience developing curriculum.
- Experience with a variety of teaching modalities.
- Successful experience working with culturally and ethnically diverse populations.
- Commitment to the community college philosophy.
