YSI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Help Desk Support Specialist Senior to support the program at Fort Belvoir, VA. This role requires an onsite professional with strong technical expertise to provide second-tier support for a variety of IT systems, applications, and hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide second-tier technical support for PC servers, mainframe applications, and hardware issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems that first-tier support is unable to address.
- Collaborate with network services, software engineering, and application development teams to restore service and diagnose core issues.
- Simulate or recreate user problems to identify and resolve operating difficulties.
- Recommend system modifications to improve user experience and reduce recurring issues.
- Stay updated with current technologies and advancements to maintain the highest level of technical expertise.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master s degree (MA/MS) with 10 years of experience OR Bachelor s degree (BA/BS) with 12 years of experience.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- Strong expertise in help desk support, troubleshooting, and IT service management.
- Experience with PC servers, mainframes, and software systems engineering.
- Ability to work onsite at Fort Belvoir, VA.
