Introduction: The Yakutat Tlingit Tribe is seeking qualified contractors to provide professional heating and plumbing services for approximately 12 residential properties and 3 commercial properties within the community. The services will include assessment, repair, maintenance, and potential installation of heating and plumbing systems. This contract will cover a period of three years.
Project Overview: The Yakutat Tlingit Tribe requires comprehensive heating and plumbing services to ensure the proper functioning, safety, and efficiency of its residential and commercial properties. The contractor will be responsible for regular assessments, timely repairs, scheduled maintenance, and potential installations as needed.
Scope of Work: The selected contractor will be expected to perform the following tasks:
- Assessment:
- Conduct initial assessments of heating and plumbing systems in all designated properties.
- Provide detailed reports on the current condition of systems, identifying any issues or areas needing improvement.
- Repair Services:
- Perform necessary repairs on heating and plumbing systems to ensure they are operational and meet safety standards.
- Respond to emergency repair requests promptly.
- Maintenance Services:
- Implement a regular maintenance schedule for all heating and plumbing systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and testing of systems.
- Provide maintenance reports and recommend any additional work needed.
- Installation Services:
- Install new heating and plumbing systems or components as required.
- Ensure all installations comply with relevant codes and standards.
- Additional Services:
- Provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades to existing systems.
- Offer consultation services on best practices for heating and plumbing system management.
Properties Covered:
- Residential Properties: Approximately 12 residential properties.
- Commercial Properties: 3 commercial properties.
Contract Period: The contract will be for a period of three years, commencing on September 20, 2024, and ending September 20, 2027.
Contractor Requirements:
- Must be licensed and insured to perform heating and plumbing services in the state of Alaska.
- Must have experience in both residential and commercial heating and plumbing services.
- Must provide references from previous clients for similar services.
- Must be able to respond to emergency repair requests within 72 hours.
Submission Requirements: Interested contractors must submit the following:
- A detailed quote for the services outlined in this scope of work.
- A description of the contractor’s experience and qualifications.
- Contact information for three references/previous clients.
- Proof of licensing and insurance.
- A proposed schedule for regular maintenance services.
- Any additional information that demonstrates the contractor’s ability to fulfill the scope of work.
Submission Deadline: All quotes and supporting documents must be submitted by September 4, 2024. Submissions may be uploaded to BambooHR, submitted by email to admin@ytttribe.org , or dropped off in-person at the Yakutat Tlingit Tribal offices by the identified deadline and time.

Bonus Points
Diversity and Sustainability: 5 pts
Demonstrated prior experience working with Tribes and tribal/native entities will be given additional potential points.
Tribal Member & Alaska Native/Native American Preference: 5 pts
Qualified Yakutat Tlingit Tribal Members or Alaska Native/Native American owned-businesses will be given additional potential points.
