Intensive Family Preservation Clinical Faculty Position
This is a full-time opening for a licensed or license eligible clinician (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, MFT) interested in joining the Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) team, servicing the Department of Children & Families (DCF) Region 2. The IFP program is a short-term, in-home service designed to:
- Quickly address immediate safety concerns
- Reduce the risk of future abuse and/or neglect
- Prevent out-of-home placements
Services provided include child safety assessments, parenting skill-building, increasing community and natural supports, and clinical case management. The program offers 24/7 crisis support, including weekends and holidays, to ensure immediate clinical interventions for families when needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluation and assessments
- Provide individual and family therapy
- Deliver crisis intervention services
- Provide clinical case coordination and case management services to children and families in their homes and communities
- Support parenting using the Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) and reflective parenting approaches
- Collaborate on case coordination with DCF worker/team
- Collaborate with schools for educational needs, community providers, and court advocacy when needed
- Maintain a flexible schedule based on client needs
- Document services in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Qualifications
- Licensed or license-eligible (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, MFT)
- Fluency in Spanish and cultural competence/humility to work effectively with immigrant and migrant families
- Access to personal transportation
- At least 1 year of experience working with children, families, emotional disorders and/or substance use disorders
Preferred Skills:
- Specialty in working with LGBTQ youth, trauma, young children, or children with disabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing culturally responsive care
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
