Intensive Family Preservation Clinical Faculty Position

This is a full-time opening for a licensed or license eligible clinician (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, MFT) interested in joining the Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) team, servicing the Department of Children & Families (DCF) Region 2. The IFP program is a short-term, in-home service designed to:

  • Quickly address immediate safety concerns
  • Reduce the risk of future abuse and/or neglect
  • Prevent out-of-home placements

Services provided include child safety assessments, parenting skill-building, increasing community and natural supports, and clinical case management. The program offers 24/7 crisis support, including weekends and holidays, to ensure immediate clinical interventions for families when needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluation and assessments
  • Provide individual and family therapy
  • Deliver crisis intervention services
  • Provide clinical case coordination and case management services to children and families in their homes and communities
  • Support parenting using the Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) and reflective parenting approaches
  • Collaborate on case coordination with DCF worker/team
  • Collaborate with schools for educational needs, community providers, and court advocacy when needed
  • Maintain a flexible schedule based on client needs
  • Document services in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)

Qualifications

  • Licensed or license-eligible (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, MFT)
  • Fluency in Spanish and cultural competence/humility to work effectively with immigrant and migrant families
  • Access to personal transportation
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children, families, emotional disorders and/or substance use disorders

Preferred Skills:

  • Specialty in working with LGBTQ youth, trauma, young children, or children with disabilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to providing culturally responsive care
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
