Responsibilities
Patient Education: Explain exam procedures, complete IV contrast worksheets, and take allergy histories.
Room Preparation: Ensure clean linens, load and arm power injectors, and maintain IV start proficiency per radiology nurse guidelines.
Patient Care: Provide physical assistance to patients on and off scanner tables, facilitate patient flow, and prioritize patients as needed.
Technical Expertise: Acquire high-quality diagnostic scans by adjusting technical factors for body habits, patient age, and weight.
Documentation: Complete all paperwork and patient documentation accurately and timely, including exam charging, patient insurance, and maintenance of day logs, PACS, and teleradiology solutions.
