The CT Technologist performs a range of technical duties using advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality radiographic images for radiologist review. Responsibilities- Performs a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex diagnostic imaging equipment. Efficiently follows routine protocols, demonstrates independent judgment and has minimal downtime.
- Actively participates in workflow activities in order to ensure the goals of the department are met and runs efficiently
- Assists schedulers, physicians, nursing and other appropriate staff with scheduling, obtaining requisitions or pre-authorization, patient preparation instructions, and other exam-related communications.
- Performs quality and compassionate patient care in order to ensure cooperation, safety and satisfaction.
- Selects the correct patient from the worklist.
- Consistently promotes service excellence and maintains accurate records.
- Participates in teaching, learning, and research opportunities to further professional knowledge and expertise.
- Maintains Career Ladder requirements to remain a Radiology Tech II.
Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program is required. ARRT certification, Connecticut state license, and CPR certification are also necessary. Three (3) years of recent radiography experience with at least one (1) year at Greenwich Hospital is preferred.
Proficient in advanced Radiography CR/Digital imaging techniques, computer/Pacs applications, and good organizational and communication/customer service skills are essential.
