As a CT Technologist, I am responsible for operating complex diagnostic imaging equipment to produce high-quality radiographic images for analysis by radiologists. I ensure efficient departmental workflow by collaborating with various healthcare staff and providing compassionate patient care while adhering to established protocols and safety standards.

Efficiently follows routine protocols, demonstrates independent judgment and has minimal downtime.
- Follows routine protocols and refers to the source document to ensure the correct exam is performed.
- Actively participates in workflow activities in order to ensure the goals of the department are met and runs efficiently.
- Assists schedulers, physicians, nursing and other appropriate staff with scheduling, obtaining requisitions or pre-authorization, patient preparation instructions, and other exam-related communications.
- Performs quality and compassionate patient care in order to ensure cooperation, safety and satisfaction. Demonstrates accuracy on safety screening and continues to promote our pledge for service excellence.
- Thoroughly explains various procedures to the patient and offers emotional support.
- Performs various record keeping, customer service functions to ensure exam charges are properly billed and communicates feedback.
- Consistently selects the correct patient from the worklist.
- Participates in various teaching, learning, and research opportunities in order to further professional knowledge and expertise or to assist in expanding knowledge of others.
- Is receptive to teaching newly-hired technologist as observed by supervisor or input from staff.
- Maintaining Career Ladder requirements to remain a Radiology Tech II.
- Must have achieved at least a successful rating in most recent performance appraisal. Overall Performance rating must be at least Fully Meets or Exceeds Expectations with no success factor falling below Fully Meets Expectations.
- Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Has ARRT and is in C.E. compliance.
- Has a current Connecticut state license.
- Three (3) years of recent radiography experience with at least one (1) year at Greenwich Hospital.
- Demonstrated above average technical skills and excellent communication skills, RT(R) certification by the American Registry of, Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Connecticut State License, and CPR certification preferred.
- CT STATE LICENSE AND ARRT LICENSE.
- Proficient in advanced Radiography CR/Digital imaging techniques.
- Above average knowledge of computer/PACS applications.
- Good organizational and communication/customer service skills.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds to assist with patient transfers.
