Job Description:
The Diagnostic Medical Technologist position is responsible for performing interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. This role requires the ability to operate complex radiographic equipment, interview patients, and perform various clerical duties.
Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the department manager, performs radiologic imaging procedures using highly complex equipment.
- Reviews available clinical data to alert parties to potential contradictions for procedures.
- Verifies information and exams performed using CR, DR, and PACS systems.
- Attends safety training programs and demonstrates knowledge of job-related hazards.
Education and Certifications:
- Graduate of an approved two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technology or registry eligibility within three months of hire.
