The Principal Trainer II is responsible for: Planning, developing and maintaining course curricula and supporting training materials for their primary and secondary ITS applications. Building, testing, and maintaining the training environment, maintaining policy and procedure documentation related to training, conducting training for new staff, and coordinating training for software upgrades and updates. Overseeing build, test and maintenance of training environment by principal trainer Is. Assisting in development and communication of the training schedule. Training Credentialed Trainers to assist with classroom training as well as being a back up in secondary application to credential. working with the Training Manager and application coordinators to develop the training program for ITS applications. Assisting in ancillary ITS projects related to ITS application workflows. Developing virtual training documentation.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Curriculum Development
    • 1.1 Provides end-user training during all phases of the implementation
  • 2. Scheduling Assists in development, communication and coordination of training schedules to managers and end-users
    • 2.1 Responsible for ensuring the logistics, material and supplies for training classes are available
  • 3. Project Team Support Demonstrates a strong belief in the organizations goals and objectives for installing Epic. Functions as a change agent and advocate for the project and seeks ways to engage all end users.
    • 3.1 Provides support, encouragement and forward momentum to all Epic Team members. Maintains a positive attitude and conducts their responsibilities with respect and consideration for all.

Qualifications

EDUCATION


Bachelor's degree in related field required. Masters degree preferred.


EXPERIENCE


Three years experience in adult education, instructional design or in healthcare preferred. Clinical experience desired.


LICENSURE


At a minimum Certification in primary ITS application with minimum proficiency in a second application. Ongoing certification maintenance is required as well.


SPECIAL SKILLS


Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Skill and experience in adult education strongly preferred. Strong people skills and effective communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skills required. Proven ability to work across organizations with multiple audiences and change leadership experience preferred. Expected to travel between organizations and provide off-shift training as required.
